What is Sparti Rope Park?

Sparti is all about getting out, having fun and being adventurous. We’re the number 1 rope adventure park in Cyprus with more than 140 games, 11 Zip Lines in a center of mountains ­ fantastic forest of Platres! You will never forget this exiting experience.

Can I Go Up?
There’s just a few things you’ll need to know before you head to the forest. We’ve built this section to help you quickly answer some common queries, and allow you to get on and have some fun!
Minimum Age ­ 2 years accompanied by an adult
Minimum Height – 1 meter
Maximum weight – 110 kg
Health ­ normal condition (apart from heart disease, physical and mental disabilities).

How to dress?
Certainly not like in theater! Dress in a sports or as tourists ­ sneakers, jeans, T­shirt with long sleeves and gloves.

Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend that you book in advance as our courses tend to get booked up especially during weekends and school holidays. You can book by phone on 99­100003 (English, Greek) or 99­100040 (English, Russian).

What are the opening times?
We close our forest doors during low season ­ Last week of December till March (…it gets a little chilly and we like to maintain our adventures so they’re all ready to go next year). Opening times also vary on daylight hours – open at 10:00-18:00 in the summer. You can make a reservation by phone on 99­100040, 99­100003.

Do you offer group discounts?
During the week group more than 10people ­ one goes free or 5% discount.
On Sundays, Public Holidays and all August -­ usual price.

Can I Go UP if I’m under 17 years old?
15-17 year olds are able to supervise themselves during their Sparti Rope Adventure. Under 12 years olds must be supervised by a participating adult.
One participating adult can supervise two under 12 year olds. Participating adults may not supervise from the ground.
An adult (over 17) must join every 4 children under 13 years on the course. 13 – 15 year olds require at least 1 adult per group to supervise on the ground (you’re welcome to join in on the course). If your child is over 13 years and you are supervising from the ground you won’t need to book or pay.

Are there storage or changing facilities?
If your items cannot be left securely in a vehicle, “Sparti” park cannot accept liability of any items lost or damaged. We recommend you leave valuable items at home or car. If you need to take camera or glasses they must be attached.

What happens in bad weather?
Rope park is an excellent wet weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather. Have a rainwear with you every time. Sometimes, unfortunately, we might need to close the course for reasons beyond our control. We will do our best to offer alternative dates you like.

How long does the course take?
Adventure takes approximately 2 ­- 3 hours to complete and that includes your safety briefing. It all depends on how speedy you are, how busy the course is and who you’ve got in your group. It will be busier during weekends and school holidays for sure.

Is there a time limit to complete the course?
Nope, you can go at your own pace and let people ‘overtake’ if you fancy taking a little more time over an obstacle or section. If you want to reduce the chance of being held up by people in front of you, we recommend that you book an early morning slot, as there will be fewer people ahead of you. The busiest time ­ from 12 to 14 o`clock.

How long time may i keep Harness?
Good question! Up to 3 hours. But if you took off the equipment before the end of the period ­ it is already necessary to pass it back to the reception. Nobody will help you to put it on you again. Therefore, all strongly recommended prior going to the toilet.

Can spectators come and watch, take pictures and observe from the forest floor?
Yes – that’s a great idea to get them in the forest.

Is it safe?
Of course. Rope park Sparti courses are substantial and physically testing obstacle courses. CLICK ­IT SYSTEM is the most reliable and high­quality security system in the world. There is inevitably a risk of injury when undertaking such activities. Participants will be responsible for attaching themselves to the safety system. If you do not attach yourself to the safety system you risk falling, which could result in a serious or fatal injury. All participants receive a safety briefing from a trained instructor at the start and have to wear a safety harness at all times.

What safety system is used?
We operate ‘Click­ It` french safety system. CLICK ­IT SYSTEM is the most reliable and high-quality protective and safety system in the world.The customer is actively involved with the equipment throughout their time in the trees and manages their own safety after training from our instructors. On Click­ It courses you will always stay attached.
Once customer outfit with the equipment and they remain attached throughout their tree­time. On Click­ It courses you will always be attached from the moment of a beginning of each course.

Is there an instructor with you on the course?
You will receive a 15 minute safety briefing and training from an instructor before you start the course. After that you’re on your own, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests and if you need help ­ just shout for help until you get it.

I’m afraid of heights!
If you’re worried about your knees knocking and your arms trembling – never fear; “Sparti” is here and we are proud to have helped lots of people to conquer their fear of heights. Why not give it a try – you might surprise yourself!

Do I need to be fit or strong?
Doing Sparti ropes does require a degree of physical fitness but if you can climb up a rope ladder you should be fine. You can always catch your breath between obstacles.

I have a group needing additional support
At Sparti Park we want to welcome everyone. However, whilst our courses are designed to be accessible to most people they do offer a degree of physical and mental challenge. For some persons this may mean that additional equipment and/or levels of supervision will be required for safe participation. For others the risks of injury may still be too great despite taking such additional measures, preventing their use of the course.

Can I smoke?
No. You won’t be able to smoke whilst in your harness.

Is SPARTI insured?
Yes; It holds of public liability Insurance covering all of its courses.

What if I have a pre­existing medical condition?
The staff at “Sparti” are not medically qualified and so are not in a position to assess the capacity of participants to undertake a course. It remains your responsibility to undertake such an assessment prior to use of the course. We advise you to visit the course prior to booking to undertake your own risk assessment. You may also wish to contact your doctor for further advice.

Can I play if I’m pregnant? – Not.

Do we wear helmets?
For Orange, Violet, Red and Black lines ­ yes, is necessary.
For others ­ by request.

What harnesses do you use?
Sparti park has 2 types of harness ­ depends on the age and the safety system and the size of person. This gives greatest flexibility to users. The big course and safety system was designed around using a sit harness and all our equipment is fit for purpose as designated by current European Ropes Course Standards.
For kids we use Coudou ­ the most reliable insurance system without the ability to be detached.

What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your adventure but need to do this at least 48 hours before the booked start time by calling the booking line on +357­99­100­003 or +35799100040.

Can I amend my booking?
Yes, just call the booking line on +357­99­100­003 or +357­99100040, 48 hours before the booked start time.

How do I give the gift of adventure?
The gift for adventure makes a great present for everyone. You can buy gift voucher that last for 3 month. 

How many people can be in a group?
Sparti park has the possibility of taking 140 people at a time.
